2010 Spring Tipping Comp


Rules

Wagers
  • Group 1s : $50 each way or $100 the win
  • Group 2s : $30 each way
  • Group 3s : $20 each way
  • Listed Race : $10 each way
  • You have the option for the Group 1 races to either put $50 E/W or $100 the win.
Special Events
  • WS Cox Plate
  • Caulfield Cup
  • VRC Derby
  • Melbourne Cup

These races are worth $100 win only. More information regarding special events will be distributed during the competition. There may be more added.

Scratchings

If your selection is scratched, you will receive your money back on that particular race

Non-Selections

If you do not select a horse for a particular race, it will be calculated as if your horse did not finish in the placegetters

Tips

Must be submitted by entering the Champion Thoroughbreds website and utilising your username and password (provided to you when entering the competition) prior to noon race day or one hour prior to first race if a selected race begins before noon.

Races

Includes all nominated listed and group races at Melbourne & Sydney. There may be one or two exceptions but plenty of notice will be given.

Updates

A weekly update will be published and emailed to everybody, no later than the following Wednesday. It will usually be much earlier.

Protests

You will need to email the tipping comp should you wish to protest and the opportunity to protest is valid for only the one week following the race meeting in question.

Stewards will decide any protests if required.

Prizemoney and Entry Fee

Entry fee is $100 and must be paid before the first race or you will be removed. Please pay via Electronic Funds Transfer to the account number provided on the website. If you cannot pay via this method, contact us and we will arrange alternative payment. Prizemoney will be determined by the amount of entrants.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Max of 100 people enter the competition
  2. Competition runs from 28/08/2010 till 6/11/2010
  3. Costs relating to ongoing running of the competition are met through the proceeds of entrants (Approx. $1,500 for running costs)
  4. Entry Fee is $100.00 per person
  5. Tips must be lodged one hour prior to the first race of the day in Sydney or Melbourne, whichever is first.
  6. Prizemoney will be distributed to the first three placegetters, on a 65% to winner, 25% to second place, and 10% to third placegetter basis.
  7. $5,000 cash is the limit of money prizes that can be distributed. Any left over funds in excess of this amount in future competitions will be distributed as shopping vouchers or travel vouchers.
  8. Prizemoney will be distributed within 10 days of the completion of the competition and winners will be notified via email.
